This small, quaint hotel offers a thoughtful room layout, allowing us to comfortably open our luggage. During our honeymoon trip, they surprised us with lovely complimentary items—a delightful gesture that we greatly appreciated, especially after a long day of travel. Despite being delayed by a train from another area, their prompt response via the hotel website's contact form—even late at night—was impressive. The hotel features a laundry room, and the machines dried our clothes efficiently—much better than those at the previous hotel we stayed in. When we encountered a Wi-Fi issue, it was resolved very quickly, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience. I personally love no-frills hotels with a personal touch, and this hotel exceeded our expectations. Although I didn’t get a chance to try the lounge services, which included free Ochazuke and drinks, they looked wonderful, and I hope to enjoy them on a future visit. The location is ideal—just a 5-minute walk from the tram station—and offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the shopping arcade. If you prefer quiet surroundings, this is the perfect spot. Additionally, there are several convenience stores nearby, so late-night snacks are always within easy reach. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay! Keep up the great work.

The concept and execution of this hotel is perfect for travelers who want pleasant and well-located surroundinga without paying for luxury public spaces for which they have no need. The top-floor breakfast and social area with outside deck has good views and is a great way to start the day. The breakfast is mixed Western and Japanese with a good selection of vegetable and fish items as well fruit, rice dishes, baked goods, and beverages. The reception desk on the same floor is convenient for asking incidental questions. The location is great, about halfway between the Peace Park and the train station. Other sites include the castle grounds, bus center, shopping center, and Art Museum. Tram lines are a short walk away as is the beautiful Shukkeien Gardens. The entertainment and restaurant area directly to the south is easy walking distance. Rooms are well designed to provide comfort and workspace despite their modest size. Friends stayed in a double room they said was plenty roomy. I liked the ecologically sensitive cleaning and linens policy with simple magnet indicators for the housekeeping.staff.

The Hotel Intergate was really good. The breakfast was fantastic, an extensive self-serve buffet with Japanese and Western options. There is no bar but the hotel offers a 'free bar' between 17:00 and 19:00 where it's unlimited self-serve drinks (beer, wine, sparking wine, possibly some spirits but I can't remember) and some light snacks in the dining area. This area has an indoor and outdoor section which was lovely in the heat, and it's high up so you can see a lot of Hiroshima. The location was also great, not too far a walk from the A-bomb dome and peace museum which are must-see places to go. It was also easy to get to from Hiroshima airport, a relatively short bus-ride away (around 20-30 mins). There were also options for dinner nearby, including places for Hiroshima's famous okonomiyaki (delicious!). The room was a good size, clean and comfortable with a good shower. The staff spoke English and were very friendly and helpful. Great for solo female travellers, but the room was plenty big enough for a couple.

This is an excellent hotel! It’s in a great location and has really good amenities. The staff are really helpful and the rooms are big. We used the public onsen which was really nice and calming, with good products provided. Additionally, the free happy hour from 5-7pm (free nibbles, wine, beer and fizz/cocktails) was a fabulous touch - I’ve never seen that in a hotel before and it was really well attended with lovely views and a terrace. It was especially helpful because we often found it quite hard to find places across Japan for just a drink before / after dinner without food. Breakfast was also very nice with a wide variety of choice (both Japanese and western-style).

This is a thoughtfully designed and well located hotel that offers a wonderful guest experience. The top floor dining / lounge area with views across the city is such a great place to relax with the excellent buffet breakfast, or happy hour drinks while enjoying the sunset. The rooms are so cleverly designed, with the entry foyer turning into a large bathroom space that includes an enclosed wet room with bath and shower. The staff are highly professional and ever helpful, and the location is 15-20 mins walk to all the main tourist attractions and Hiroshima Station. There’s also a major tram stop a block away if needed. Highly recommended.
