The Hotel Intergate was really good. The breakfast was fantastic, an extensive self-serve buffet with Japanese and Western options. There is no bar but the hotel offers a 'free bar' between 17:00 and 19:00 where it's unlimited self-serve drinks (beer, wine, sparking wine, possibly some spirits but I can't remember) and some light snacks in the dining area. This area has an indoor and outdoor section which was lovely in the heat, and it's high up so you can see a lot of Hiroshima. The location was also great, not too far a walk from the A-bomb dome and peace museum which are must-see places to go. It was also easy to get to from Hiroshima airport, a relatively short bus-ride away (around 20-30 mins). There were also options for dinner nearby, including places for Hiroshima's famous okonomiyaki (delicious!). The room was a good size, clean and comfortable with a good shower. The staff spoke English and were very friendly and helpful. Great for solo female travellers, but the room was plenty big enough for a couple.

This is an excellent hotel! It’s in a great location and has really good amenities. The staff are really helpful and the rooms are big. We used the public onsen which was really nice and calming, with good products provided. Additionally, the free happy hour from 5-7pm (free nibbles, wine, beer and fizz/cocktails) was a fabulous touch - I’ve never seen that in a hotel before and it was really well attended with lovely views and a terrace. It was especially helpful because we often found it quite hard to find places across Japan for just a drink before / after dinner without food. Breakfast was also very nice with a wide variety of choice (both Japanese and western-style).

This is a thoughtfully designed and well located hotel that offers a wonderful guest experience. The top floor dining / lounge area with views across the city is such a great place to relax with the excellent buffet breakfast, or happy hour drinks while enjoying the sunset. The rooms are so cleverly designed, with the entry foyer turning into a large bathroom space that includes an enclosed wet room with bath and shower. The staff are highly professional and ever helpful, and the location is 15-20 mins walk to all the main tourist attractions and Hiroshima Station. There’s also a major tram stop a block away if needed. Highly recommended.

Spacious rooms. I accidentally booked smoking rooms and the staff were kind enough to change my party to non smoking rooms after the first night for no charge. Public baths were good though busy. Stickers are available at the front desk for guests with tattoos. Great location not far from the main station and walking distance to the main shopping district and sights. We were able to get our luggage delivered and sent to our next hotel. There is free wine in the lounge between 5 and 7pm. Breakfast was fine but finished a little early, last order at 10am. Tea and coffee was available for free during the day but stopped at 8pm.

Great hotel, excellent location. The rooms were extremely comfortable, and while not large, they were comparable to many other sized rooms we stayed at in our two weeks in Japan. Beds also comfortable. The breakfast was excellent too with a wide variety of foods and lots of traditional Japanese foods on offer too. The happy hour from 5 to 7 had a nice vibe as well. I used the communal bath for women and it was very enjoyable. The location is excellent, a short distance from the Peace Park and the main sites. Be sure to visit the Shukkien Garden, is is absolutely gorgeous!
